Paratha Wali Gali

Parathas are the specialty of the Punjabi and North-Indian cuisine. And Paratha Wali Gali excel in that. There are more than 30 types of stuffed parathas, some of which are truly exotic and tasty at the same time. Nobody who has been to Delhi should miss Parathe Wali Gali. The place is dingy and may look unhygienic but it is worth the fuss when you taste the parathas!

One of the most popular spots for parathas, Kannaiylal, houses a bunch of tables and benches; if you’re not going in a large group, be prepared to share your table with strangers. You’re given a thali comprising petha, aloo in a gravy and a spicy sweet banana chutney (you can get unlimited refills for these). Choose from over a dozen varieties of parathas to soak in these.
We’re nominating the Bhindi, Gaajar and the Banana. The latter can be ordered for dessert as it comprises a calzone lookalike paratha doubled and stuffed with bananas and rabri.

This place is full of taste and happiness…… Just under the Moolchand metro station in an open setting that gives off a welcoming vibe, some of the best hunger-busters are rolled, stuffed with the choice of filling, cooked, and smeared with a generous amount of butter and served on disposable plates at affordable prices. A kulhad of Rose Lassi or Chai on the side makes the experience complete and blissfully fulfilling. They have a lot of varieties in Paranthas and all the paranthas are scrumptious.
